When want to have a break to take the fatigue away, what should we do? There are some ways. For example, taking a bath, yoga, a sleep and so on. One of these ways; a sleep, is very important in order to recover the fatigue. In my family case, I have a sister of junior high school student. Recently, my mother is angry because my sister stays up until late at night. My mother also think that a sleep is important. The reason we must consider a sleep seriously is because we don’t know what occurs to us when we are to be sleep-deprived. We need to know bad effects of sleep deprivation clearly. Now I give three noticeable effects of sleep deprivation; a overweight, a skin , and a brain.
The under study in Columbia college is clear that a sleep deprivation is easy to grow fat.
‘ Sleepers less than four hour’s sleep are easy to grow fat at 73% as compared with sleepers for from seven to nine hours, and sleepers more than five hour’s sleep are easy to grow fat at 50%, sleepers for six hours are easy to grow fat at 23%.’
Why will we grow fat because of sleep deprivation? The longer we stay up untill late at night, the more a hormon is secreted. The hormon is secreted every time when we feel hungry; therefore we eat a lot of food more than consumption calory of the time we are waking. In short, if we can sleep earlier, the hormon is secreted. However, I think that people who grow fat for this reason are far less, because my sister is not fat . Sleep deprivation have more dangerous symptoms. In addition to a overweight, the influence we can judge from the outside appearance is about a skin.
One of the condition which appears on our skin is the skin irritation. There are close relation between sleep deprivation and the skin irritation. Our skin can be reborn, and the hormon for growth is secreted only when we sleep at night. This hormon works harder between 10 p.m. and 2a.m.; therefore we need to have a sleep early. The importnt thing is the sleeping time. It is useless for us to sleep in short time, because we must sleep for over six hours so that skin cells are reborn enough. If we don’t have a sleep enough, old skin cells are difficult to change to new skill cells; as a result, it is the cause of dry skin. Another condition is to get dark circles under our eyes. It occurs so that the blood vessel contracts and the blood flow is stagnant. In order to be cured these condition, we must try and act over six hour’s sleep every day. On the other hand, the influence which we can’t judge from the outside appearance is the symptom about a brain.
Generally the brain influence we recognize is a decline in the scholastic ability. Some scholars tells that a decline in the scholastic ability isn’t because of the education that aims at development of indivisual talent rather than learning by rote but because of sleep deprivation. In short, I think that students can’t concentrait on shool class so that they feel asleep. Cnsidered from the scientific search, REM sleep and non-REM sleephave a close relation with a decline in the scholastic ability. They have a cycle such as a wave. In REM sleep, we remember necessary matters in our brain, and in non-REM sleep, we take unnecessary matters away from our brain. If we don’t have a sleep enough, this cycle times decrease and we can’t use the effect of REM and non-REM sleep. The influence relative to this matter is a stress. We feel a stress so that bad matters don’t disappear. My sister doesn’t well at school, and she also become irritated when she does her homework. As other example, people can’t sleep so that they feel a sttress. We can consider that three matters; sleep deprivation, a decline in the scholastic ability, and a stress, are the triangle relationship. We must not forget that a brain need a sleep.
We have various ways in order to be cured the influence of sleep deprivation, however we can’t be cured brain matters with some ways. If we want to be cured the influence of sleep deprivation, we must reconsider from the original root; a sleep. Most parents wish that their children grow more healthily and become wisely; as a result, they say to their children loudly, “Sleep early!”. And if we can have a sleep every day, we may be able to meet a different world from the time of sleep deprivation. No Fat, No Skin irritation, No Decline in the scholastic ability and Stress. Ithink that a sleep is most relaxing way that we can change and recover our body, our spirit, and our view of world.
